We had a lovely meal here tonight. We come here every year and love it every time. Tonight, Sarah was our server, and she was lovely. There was no hurry to serve us and get us out the door. We had the sablefish special and a gem salad and bistro salad. If you are up at Whistler, I highly recommend coming here for dinner.

First time in the restaurant - was very impressed. Service great and welcoming. Exciting menu and great wine options. Quality food- best I’ve had for a long time. Standouts were the carpaccio and scallops but it was all very good. We’ll definitely be back - big difference compared to the majority in the village!!

An absolute gem of a restaurant - we're so happy we booked a table here for our last night in Whistler! First off, the food was all amazing. The appetizers were perfectly balanced and very unique. We had the calamari and the cambozola & mushrooms, which were both delicious. For mains we had the short rib and bouillabaisse. The short rib was fall-apart tender and the seafood in the bouillabaisse was cooked perfectly. The key lime parfait was a perfect end to the meal. Only minor downside is that my virgin mojito was a bit weak (definitely could've been muddled more), but they have an expensive wine menu that more than makes up for it. The restaurant is small and cosy. In the summers most diners prefer to sit on the patio to enjoy the breeze but they also have indoor seating for the winter. A reservation is recommended due to the size of the restaurant. The staff are friendly and very helpful with menu recommendations. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough if you're in the area!

We had the best experience at Red Door Bistro while in town for our seventh wedding anniversary. We had our two young children in tow, and the restaurant staff were so welcoming and overly accommodating of our family. The kids were even given a short tour of the kitchen to help us parents have a few moments to enjoy our entrees uninterrupted. Every bite from start to finish was prepared to perfection, with each of our choices steered splendidly by the staff. The atmosphere is so warm, charming, and chic; and the music was perfectly curated for a fantastic evening. We will absolutely return next time we are in town.

Our dining experience at the Red Door Bistro was exceptional. It is a tiny space which explains the necessity for advance reservations. The vegetarian ricotta gnudi was totally delicious with exotic mushrooms and snap peas in such a delectable sauce with a hint of spice in the chili oil. The arugula gave it more freshness on top and finished it off nicely. The soup of the day, tomato and mushroom, was a nice starter as well. For dessert we enjoyed the chocolate ganache with raspberry to complete the meal.

Red door Bistro As it says in the name you’re greeted by a red door to enter! Inside you’re met with warmth and dim lighting. It feels like a late night before Christmas as you have drinks and catch up with old friends. We’re greeted by a warm smile and nice conversation. The restaurant is cozy and the kitchen is open like its mama cooking for you. The chefs were calm and quiet as they seamlessly executed service. We ordered a lot of items so here’s a quick overview with my personal ratings. For starters: Mushrooms & Polenta: 9.7/10 Right up my alley, texture was phenomenal, flavours all combined perfectly on the palate. Duck Confit Spring Rolls: 8.8/10 Crunch, savoury, the red currant and puree had me constantly going back for more. Delicious. Onion Tart: 7.5/10 Wasn’t my cup of tea per say but the rest of table loved it! Blue Dungeness crab cake (special): 8.5/10 This was on special so you might not be able to get it but it was fantastic. Had some peoples eyes rolling into the back of their heads from enjoyment! Mains: Cascade Mountain Steelhead: 9.8/10 This was my main and wow wow wow the plate was gone in 1 minute! The savoury lemony beurre Blanc paired with beluga lentils could have been a soup alone and I would have wanted 4 bowls. The Steelhead seared to perfection and the apple/fennel salad on top adding a dash of freshness. Absolutely fantastic and would recommend. New York Steak: 9:10 Amazing cut of meat, can’t really go wrong with a classic. Decent portion sizing! Sakura Pork: didn’t get to try but they absolutely loved it. Venison: same for the venison didn’t get to try but they loved every bite. My only complaint would be the sliding placemats on the table are quite inconvenient, and it did get very hot in there being so cozy! I came in thinking it was just going to be the same old French cuisine and not done creatively. I left presently surprised and a customer for life. The service was flawless, the food fantastic, everything met expectations or even better, the atmosphere hitting just perfectly. I will be back again, thanks for having us!

This place is one of my favorite restaurants, it deserves a chef's kiss on all levels! The food is out of this world and I highly recommend ordering their braised short ribs, a slow-cooked masterpiece that transforms into something luxurious and delicious. The meat is absolutely tender and falls apart into velvety strands, with each bite melting in my mouth. ***Please note that the restaurant doesn't accept walk-ins (due to it's size) and I advise making reservations well in advance.***

Our waiter was so impressive with his knowledge and all-around friendly; his recommendations for dishes and wine made our meal the best experience yet in Whistler!! We loved the duck spring rolls, pork special entree dish, and peanut butter bomb for dessert. It was an intimate and special dinner together. Thank you to our waiter and the staff for such a wonderful experience!
